Maryland HIMSS Call for 2017 Speaking Proposals is Open – Due January 27th

January 27, 5:00pm, EST - 5:00pm, EST

The Maryland Chapter of HIMSS is piloting a Call for 2017 Speaking Proposals to solicit Maryland healthcare provider case studies to be considered for presentation during future educational programs.  Given the unique healthcare landscape in Maryland, we are seeking HealthIT enabled population health case studies from healthcare providers, payers, health information exchanges, government agencies, and academic institutions.  Case studies should be success stories which highlight a real-world population health challenge for the Maryland healthcare organization, provide an overview of the solution including any HealthIT leveraged, review the organization’s outcome and measurable benefits of the solution, and share lessons learned as educational takeaways for our members in attendance. The required submission template including speaking proposal format and guidelines can be downloaded here.

Proposal Submission Deadline Extended:  Friday, January 27, 2017 by 5pm EST
Proposals must be submitted by emailing a completed template to no later than 5pm EST on Friday, January 27th.

Given this is a first-time pilot of a Maryland call for proposals, it is unknown how many submissions may be received. We anticipate reviewing and providing feedback on all submissions during February 2017. We expect the pilot to help us select one or more Maryland provider case study presentations to augment upcoming 2017 educational programs.

We thank you for your continued interest in Health IT and the Maryland Chapter of HIMSS. If you have any questions regarding the Maryland HIMSS Call for Speaking Proposals, please contact Kathryn A. Whitmore, Maryland HIMSS Board Member and Program Planning Chair at
